Event News

The director Jon Newson was welcomed with an unwanted delay at Sunderland university metro station when filming was set back 2 hours because of a metro driver. They were filming one of the key sense in the film when Tiffany meets Anthony for the first time, Jon says "We were filming on the airport platform and the metro pulls up we continue filming and there is a fight sense so we tart the film and suddenly we hear a load tooting sound we turn and the driver has his head out the window shouting at us". Jon told us Metro would prefer not to speak of this incident as they don't want a bad reputation and they formally apologies for delays and the incident that happened that day and will allow Jon to film any films at the station in the future, However Jon is a bit iffy with the situation he says he will not be filming by a station again. He did however enjoy his stay up to the North as a few film fans may know Jon is from Ireland and his wife is from here and has not yet had a trip to the North.

Across is supposed to pull at your heart strings, Its supposed make you think. The directors actually passed it off a true story, they got in contact with a young man on called Adam, they met him on the bus from work one day he was aged 20 and he had his little sister with him. Unfortunately he didn't have enough money to catch the bus home so one of the directors Dom Johnson lent him the money he was truly grateful. After talking they gave Dom their contact information and told him that if they used his story they would pay him enough money to last him and his sister a few months and that would hopefully help him get a job.
